Increasing Needs

In the United States today, there are more than 34,000 Catholic sisters, brothers, and religious order priests past age 70. By 2022, it is projected that religious age 70 and over will outnumber those under age 70 by nearly four to one. Currently, the income of members in compensated ministry underwrites a significant portion of retirement and elder-care expenses, but in the coming years, that will no longer be the case.
